Meet Eva | A Birth Story

I am always completely blown away by how miraculous birth is every time I get the amazing opportunity to be a part of one. The strength moms have naturally, without even trying, is a miracle in itself. This birth was no exception. And when you add a best friend into the mix, it makes the experience that much more special.

Nothing about Eva's grand entrance into the world has been easy (except for pushing — 30 minutes and out!) After an answer to prayer for conception, she made her entrance 12 days late after nearly 36 hours of tough labor. Between the many long hours that passed, feeling the intense pain of severe contractions through the epidural on multiple occasions, and other obstacles along the way, this momma handled everything beautifully. Sure, there were some tears shed (even by myself and the nurses in the room), but with pure strength and prayer as a couple, they got through each and every one of their hurdles to bring their gorgeous baby girl into the world.

After feeling discouraged many times, the moment we were all waiting for came, it was time to push! Pure adrenaline took over this sweet, exhausted mama and you couldn't wipe the smile off her face! She nearly laughed that baby right out of her! And, she even got to pull her sweet baby girl out herself! How cool is that?!

With a full head of hair, the biggest, brightest eyes, we welcome sweet Eva Joy into the world and our hearts. Congratulations Erin and Erich, you did it! She's here! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of such a magical moment in your lives. Xo
